QiMen Ahead is operated by Daniel Siew (Siew Kum Loong), based in Malaysia. This policy explains what information the QiMen Ahead app and website collect, why, and your choices. Contact: connect@danielsiew.com
Account information: your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
Your questions and readings: the questions you ask, the Qi Men chart created for each question (including the date and time used), the readings we return, and your conversation history.
Optional feedback: answers you choose to give to short reflection cards shown after some readings.
Purchases and credits: your question balance, subscription status and purchase records. Card payments on our website are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. In-app purchases, when available, are handled by Apple or Google.
On your device: a secure sign-in token stored in your device's secure storage, and simple app settings (such as theme) stored only on your device.
Security logs: your IP address may be processed briefly to protect sign-in against abuse. We do not keep it in your account record.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, device advertising identifiers or precise device identifiers. We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics tools from other companies, and we do not sell your information.
To run your account and sign you in; to generate your readings; to show your history; to manage credits and purchases; to keep the service secure; and to improve QiMen Ahead. Reflection card answers may be studied in anonymised, combined form to improve the product.
Anthropic: your questions and chart details are sent to Anthropic's AI service to generate readings.
Fly.io: hosts our servers and database (Singapore region).
Stripe: processes website payments.
Apple and Google: process in-app purchases, when available.
Google Fonts: the app may load fonts from Google, which can see your IP address when fonts are loaded.
We share information with these providers only to run the service, and never for their own advertising.
Our servers are in Singapore, and some providers (such as Anthropic) process data in other countries including the United States. We use reputable providers and only share what is needed.
We keep your information while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days. We keep purchase and billing records for up to 7 years where Malaysian tax and accounting law requires it. We may keep information that has been fully anonymised so it can no longer identify you.
Email connect@danielsiew.com from your account email with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm and complete deletion within 30 days. Details: see our Account Deletion page.
Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and similar laws, you may ask to access or correct your personal information, or ask us to stop using it. Contact connect@danielsiew.com.
We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords, secure token storage on your device, and restricted server access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
QiMen Ahead is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
QiMen Ahead provides decision guidance based on Qi Men Dun Jia. It does not provide medical, legal or financial advice.
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app or by email.
